Overview

ClaSnap ("we", "our", or "the App") is a meal logging application developed for iPhone. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and the choices you have. ClaSnap is designed to keep your meal data on your device by default.

Information We Collect

ClaSnap collects and stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Meal logs — foods you record, portion sizes (grams), calories, and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat).
  • Meal photos (optional) — images you capture with the camera or select from your photo library.
  • Profile preferences — daily calorie goal, optional weight, food region, app language, and onboarding completion status.
  • Custom foods — names, categories, and nutrition values you create manually.

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email, or phone number through the App itself.

How We Use Information

Data stored on your device is used exclusively to:

  • Calculate and display nutrition summaries for your meals.
  • Generate daily and historical reports (calorie ring, macro charts, meal timeline).
  • Remember your settings and custom food entries.
  • Display attached meal photos in your log.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Data Storage & Retention

All meal records, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone using on-device storage (SwiftData / local files). This version of ClaSnap does not offer cloud backup or sync.

Data persists until you delete individual records, use "Clear All Meals" in Settings, or uninstall the App.

Third-Party Services

Core App functionality works fully offline. In limited cases:

  • Public nutrition databases — When you manually search for a food not in our built-in library, the App may send the food name to public APIs (such as USDA FoodData Central or Open Food Facts) to retrieve approximate nutrition data. No photos or personal identifiers are included in these queries.
  • Apple App Store — Standard analytics and crash reports may be collected by Apple according to your device settings. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Device Permissions

  • Camera — Used only when you choose to take a meal photo. You may deny this permission and still log meals without photos.
  • Photo Library — Used only when you choose to attach an existing photo. Access is read-only for selection.

You can revoke permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → ClaSnap.

Children's Privacy

ClaSnap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us.

International Users

ClaSnap is available in multiple countries via the App Store. Because data is stored locally on your device, cross-border transfer of your meal data by us does not occur. Any optional network requests for nutrition lookups are sent directly from your device to public database providers.

Your Rights & Choices

  • View and edit your meal logs at any time within the App.
  • Delete individual meals or clear all data in Settings.
  • Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
  • Control camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you may have additional rights. Contact us to exercise them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

信息使用方式

设备上的数据仅用于：

  • 计算并展示每餐及每日的营养摘要。
  • 生成每日与历史报告（热量环、宏量图表、时间线）。
  • 保存您的设置与自定义食物。
  • 在记录中显示所附餐食照片。

我们不会将您的数据用于广告、用户画像或出售给第三方。

数据存储与保留

所有饮食记录、照片与偏好均保存在 iPhone 本地（SwiftData / 本地文件）。当前版本不提供云端备份或同步。

数据将保留至您删除单条记录、在设置中使用「清除全部饮食记录」，或卸载应用为止。

第三方服务

核心功能可完全离线使用。在有限场景下：

  • 公开营养数据库 — 当您搜索内置库中未收录的食物时，应用可能将食物名称发送至公开 API（如 USDA、Open Food Facts）以获取近似营养数据。这些请求不包含照片或个人标识。
  • Apple App Store — Apple 可能根据您的设备设置收集标准分析与崩溃报告。请参阅 Apple 隐私政策。

设备权限

  • 相机 — 仅在您选择拍摄餐食照片时使用。拒绝权限仍可正常记录（不含照片）。
  • 相册 — 仅在您选择已有照片时使用，只读访问。

您可随时在 iPhone 设置 → ClaSnap 中撤销权限。

儿童隐私

ClaSnap 不面向 13 岁以下儿童。我们不会故意收集儿童个人信息。如有疑虑请联系我们。

国际用户

ClaSnap 通过 App Store 在多个国家/地区提供。由于数据保存在本地，我们不会跨境传输您的饮食数据。可选的营养查询请求由您的设备直接发送至公开数据库提供商。

您的权利与选择
